Obituary of Malvina Lymar King
Malvina Lymar King, 46, gained her wings on Friday, October 28, 2022.
Malvina was born in Shallotte, North Carolina to Carolyn and Clifton King - Thomas on November 30, 1975. The second of five daughters, Malvina graduated from West Brunswick High School (Class of '94). A true trailblazer, Malvina packed up and moved away from North Carolina with her two children Jalen Powell & Takayla King and created home in Painesville, Ohio for the last 20 years.
Malvina immediately lit up any room she entered with her larger than life, yet humble, personality. She had a laugh and a warm presence that will never be forgotten. Her passions lied in helping others and she spent her life doing so. She loved cooking, butterflies, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Much like her beloved butterflies, Malvina was a pillar of hope, love, and positivity. She will be missed greatly.
Her light will continue to shine on, through & for; her daughter, Takayla King ; her son, Jalen Powell; her adopted sons Derohn Hamilton and Dale Maddox, her grandchildren Jaquise Powell; Latia Maddox, Isaiah Maddox, and Layla Maddox
Her parents Carolyn King-Thomas and Clifton Thomas, her sisters Aprile King, Carolyn (Nettie) King, Kristen (Moon) King, Latoya ( Marty) King, and her brother Steven King.
Malvina also leaves behind a host of nieces/ nephews, aunts/uncles, cousins, friends and community that she loved. (Lakeisha Jones, Derrick Stanley, Jenaine Stanley)
A private viewing will be held by the family on Wednesday, November 2nd. Followed by a celebration of life in her hometown of Shallotte, North Carolina. The family asks for family donations in lieu of flowers. Donations can be received on Cashapp $tkcolo3
