Saluda, SC: Mamie Louise Hall Copeland of 115 Pine Street, the widow of Harold Copeland peacefully transitioned from this life into eternal rest, Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her home.

She was born March 20, 1934, in Seneca, South Carolina, daughter of Hosea and Mary Wright Hall. She was a 1952 graduate of Oconee County Training High School in Seneca, S. C. and a 1956 graduate of Benedict College in Columbia, S. C. where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. Upon graduating from Benedict College, she obtained a teaching position at Riverside School in Saluda, S.C. After the Saluda County Schools were integrated, she taught at Hollywood School. With 36 years of service, she retired from the Saluda School District in May 1997. While growing up in Seneca, S.C. she was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church and was currently a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Saluda, S.C.

While living in Saluda, she met and eventually married Harold Copeland on April 13, 1962. To this union three children were born, Lorinda, Gina, and Dwayne, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was also preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Jefferson (T.J.) Hall, Samuel Hall, Clemson Hall, Clinton Hall, Jeremiah Hall and Viola Hall Ligon.

She is survived by two daughters, Lorinda Copeland, Irmo, SC and Gina (Frenchie) Parker, Douglasville, GA; granddaughter, Eboni Copeland, Irmo, SC; sisters, Lillie (David) Morris, Nellie Sloan, and Emma (Kenneth) Speed all of Seneca, SC; sisters-in-law, Leora Hall, Mildred Hall, Alice Hall and Mildred Simpkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends

The family is at the home.
