Maniben I. Patel

Maniben Ishwarbhai Patel, 86, of Glendale Heights, IL, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. Beloved wife of Ishwarbhai; loving mother of Sarojben (Arvindbhai), Bhadraben (Rajendrabhai), Parulben (the late Gautambhai), Vasantbhai (Jaynaben). Proud grandmother of Grishma (Ashis), Bhargav (Reina), Dhara (Pratik), Dhruvit (Khushbu), Sunny (Monica), Shaun (Amanda), Jahnvi (Patrick), Nisarg; dear great-grandmother of Param, Vachan, Vansh, Aarohi, Leela, Aayan, Yug; and fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Maniben was born on September 11, 1939, in Manjipura, Gujarat, to parents Motiram Zaverbhai and Kashiben Patel. In 1951, Ishwarbhai and Maniben were married; they approached life together as a team, leading with love and loyalty for over 74 years. She immigrated to the United States in 1993. A dedicated homemaker, Maniben devoted her life to creating a warm and loving home filled with joy.
The Matriarch of her family, Maniben will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support. The go-to family healer, she treated family ailments, relying only on household ingredients and sheer persistence. Her nurturing spirit welcomed family and friends alike into her home to support their endeavors as they pursued their dreams. Her charitable nature, rooted in familial values, has been an inspiration to all.
Nothing made her happier than visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter filled her home and heart. She loved cooking traditional Gujarati meals, pouring her heart into every dish she prepared. She was a true food enthusiast, enjoying everything from vada pav to sushi. Her love for good food was matched only by her love for watching Indian soap operas and movies.
As a devout Hindu, she found great peace and purpose in her faith. In her younger years, she and her husband devoted themselves to Bhakti Pheri, travelling to places across India and the United States to show heartfelt devotion for Yogeshwar Bhagwan.
Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on through those who were touched by her presence. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. May her soul find eternal peace.
