Manuel Antonio "Neno" Abreu -

Manuel Antonio Abreu Abreu (Neno), 79 of Fords NJ, passed away peacefully November 13, 2025, At Raritan Bay Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1946, in La Vega, Dominican Republic to the late Alcedo Abreu Valdez and Aquirina Saturnina Abreu Caba. Manuel was the owner and operator of La Jaguita Supermarket in Perth Amboy NJ. He enjoyed riding horses and farming and was an avid baseball fan of las Aguilas in La Vega. Manuel was a communicant of Saint Stephens RC Church in Perth Amboy NJ.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Juana Francisca Abreu (Mejia), of Fords; daughter, Fatima Abreu, of Perth Amboy; two sons, Edwin Abreu, and his wife, Farah, of Perth Amboy, and Joel Abreu, and his wife, Elizabeth of Fords; 10 grandchildren: Fanely, Tiffany, Dianelys, Darnesha, Erwin, Kaywin, Jandiel, Januel, Elanis, and Joniel; five brothers; Jose Rafael Abreu, Emilio Abreu, Ramon Abreu, Franco Abreu, and Geraldo Abreu and five sisters: Ana Teresa Abreu, Christina Olga Diaz, Elsa Cornelia Rendon de Abreu, and Natividad del Carmen Abreu.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 00863. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday November 18th, 11:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 12:30 pm Funeral Liturgy at St. Stephen's RC Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery.
