Manuel Afonso Obituary
Born in Adrao, Soajo, Arcos de Valdevez, Portugal, he emigrated to the United States on March 19, 1975 settling first in Newark before moving to Clifton in 1995. He was the owner of Manny's Sports Bar in Lodi among other establishments.
He was a parishioner of Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton.
Manny was predeceased by his parents, Manuel Afonso and Gloria Alves Branco and one sibling.
Survivors include: his wife, Josephine (nee Glodawa); his four children, Joanna, Michael, Christina, and Manuel Afonso, Jr.; his grandson and five siblings.
Please meet on Friday, December 26, 20205 for a 10:00 am Funeral Liturgy at Ss. Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Clifton for a funeral Liturgy. Entombment to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton. Those wishing to express their sympathies may consider a contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
