Manuel Bennett Obituary
Manuel was born on October 31,1935 in the Ravenscroft community of White County. Manuel was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea. Following his military service, he worked for over 40 years at Thomas Industries. Manuel loved playing bluegrass music with his guitar and found much enjoyment in feeding his birds. He is preceded in death by his mother Josephine Blaylock Simpson; son Gary Wayne Bennett who died May 15, 1974; sisters Mary Ruth Randolph, Midge Hardin and brother Buck Bennett.
Surviving famiy members include his wife of 70 years Wilma Holman Bennett
Two daughters: Cindy Spivey and husband David, Melinda Jetter
Son: Chris Bennett and wife Lara
Grandchildren: Stacy Chaffin, Tammy Hughes, Tina Cope, Blake Bennett, Ethan Bennett and Kayla Jetter
Several great-grandchildren also survive
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, December 29, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will full military honors by the Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Old Bon Air Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12:00pm Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Gerhart will offiiciate.
