Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Alive Hospice, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, with his family at his side. Age 77 years.
The son of the late Michael Dosal and Ramona (Ortega) Gutierrez, Manuel was born on February 7, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan. While playing Bingo one night, Manuel met Denise “Donnie” Perry. They were married on December 30, 2013. She survives him. Manuel retired from General Motors after thirty-seven years of loyal and dedicated service. He was an avid fan of classic television, he especially enjoyed watching "The Andy Griffith Show" and loved WWE and Lucha Libre. His enthusiasm extended to NASCAR, attending races several times a year with his dear friend Robert Goulette, he held a special admiration for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. Manuel also had a love for games of chance, often participating in Bingo and visiting casinos. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling, which brought him much happiness as well as golfing was another pastime he cherished, especially the moments spent with his son on the course. Above all, Manuel cherished the time spent with his family and loved ones.
Surviving besides his wife, Denise Dosal; daughters and son, Elena (James) Allen; Michelle Chacon; Manuel (Amy) Dosal Jr.; step-son, LeAnthony (Markehia) Swearengen; 9 grandchildren: Cristina (Cesar) Barragan, Melissa (Jose) Chacon, Michael Dosal, Domingo Chacon III, Manuel (Amber) Dosal III, Gabrielle Dosal, Alex Chacon, Stefanie Garcia, Dallas Allen, many great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; brother and sister; John Aguilar, Sylvia (Dave Trevino) Vasquez; a very dear niece, Sandra Lopez; and very dear friend, David Saldana. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Besides his parents, Manuel was preceded in death by his sisters and brother, Mary Ellen Lopez, Sylvester Aguilar, Juanita “Pee-Wee” (Woody) Levario; former wives, Joana Sandoval, Sherita Gee; step-sons, Lavarius Gee, Jimahle Donald; granddaughter, Renee Dosal, and his very dear friend Robert Goulette.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025, at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. Deacon Librado Gayton will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2025, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral chapel.
