Manuel "Mannie" Ernesto Jaramillo Jr., aged 71, passed away on July 24, 2025, in Seattle, Washington. Born on December 24, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mannie was a beloved figure in his community and among his family and friends. He was the rock of the family and a devoted husband to his wife, Judy.

Mannie spent many successful years in the telecommunications industry before discovering his true calling as a Spanish interpreter. He dedicated himself to helping individuals navigate the medical, legal, educational, and social service systems with a remarkable ethical commitment. His work was not only a professional achievement but also a source of inspiration to many, earning him widespread appreciation from both the people he assisted and his colleagues.

A devout Catholic, Mannie was a long-time parishioner of St. Paul Catholic Church, where he actively participated in community activities and services. His faith played a significant role in his life, guiding him in his daily endeavors and interactions.

An avid sports fan, Mannie held season tickets for the Seattle Mariners and Sounders. His love for sports began in his hometown, cheering for the Albuquerque Dukes and the LA Dodgers, later embracing all the Seattle sports teams when he and his wife, Judy, transplanted here. Beyond sports, Mannie was an enthusiastic traveler and explorer. He enjoyed camping in Washington with his family and traveling globally with his wife, always eager to discover new places and cultures. A gifted cook, he was renowned for his mango salsa and smoked salmon, and he loved barbequing and smoking food, along with trying international cuisines.

Mannie is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Monique, Edissa, and Andrés; daughter-in-law, Regina; granddaughters, Elena, Raquel, Mya, and Gia; and many extended family members who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Sr. and Juanita Jaramillo, and his parents-in-law, Anthony and Flora Lucero.

Mannie's life was marked by his kindness, honesty, intelligence, and humor. He was a dependable and respectful man, known for his stoic and no-nonsense demeanor, yet always full of life. He had one of the biggest hearts. His legacy of love, respect, and ethical integrity will be remembered by all who knew him.
