Manuel "Pangie" Martinez Obituary
Manuel "Pangie" Martinez, 72, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Norton, Kansas. He was born on March 22, 1953 in Dodge City, Kansas the son of Manuel and Carmen Josephine (Espinosa) Martinez.
He married Mari Cochran on June 19, 1999 in Dodge City, she survives. He loved to watch NASCAR go fishing, play pool and make walking sticks. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching the Price is Right and especially Scooby Doo.
Manuel is survived by his wife Mari Martinez of Almena, daughter Kimberly Hudson and husband Brian Hudson, daughter Melissa Martinez, son Eric Klotz and wife Sonya Klotz, daughter Darci, son Taylor, son Jason, son James, siblings Genevieve Martinez, Vera Elliot, Marilyn Martinez, Angie Martinez and husband Levi, Dio Martinez. He is also survived by his grandchildren Bryton, Rylan, Ashlyn, Zaxtyn, Reymundo, Jamie, Joey, Zane, Tayah, Xander, Rylie, Emersyn, and two great grandchildren Gracie and Beau an several nieces and nephews.
Manuel is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Hilario Martinez and Virgil Martinez.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 20, 2026 at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Chapel in Dodge City. Celebration of life at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at the 4-H Building.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Manuel Martinez Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories maybe shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
