Manuel Mojica, Jr. passed from this life August 1, 2023. He was born into this life March 2, 1972, to Manuel Sr. and Mary Ann Mojica, in Lubbock, TX. Manuel Jr. graduated from Lubbock High School in 1992; he became a skilled forklift operator for McLane High Plains. Manuel enjoyed reading, watching movies and football, and he was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Manuel loved spending time with his family, but above all, he was a free spirit.
Manuel Mojica Jr. was a loving father, family member and friend to many people. He was an avid coffee drinker, storyteller, music and movie lover. He loved spending time with family and friends reminiscing over memories throughout the years. Manuel was a philosopher thinker as well as an imaginative thinker. He was intrigued by art, history, science, politics, and sports among many other things. He was a Dallas cowboys and Texas tech football fan. He was hilarious, creative, and kindhearted. Manuel was a wonderful person who touched many people’s hearts and will be deeply missed. He is now exploring the cosmos.
Manuel was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann, an Aunt, Angie Paredez, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. Those remaining to cherish his memories are his daughters, Lauren Mojica and Morgan Mojica; his father, Manuel Mojica Sr., a sister Monica Mojica (her husband Mike Brown), and Margo Mojica.
A visitation, to Share the memories of Manuel, is scheduled at Combest Family Chapel (2210 Broadway), for Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 3:00pm-6:00pm; Rosary will immediately follow from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Visitation will also be Monday, from 8:30-1:30 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel. A funeral service, to celebrate the life of Manuel, is scheduled at Combest Family Chapel (2210 Broadway) for Monday, August 7, 2023, at 2:00pm. Arrangements were entrusted to Combest Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lubbock.
