Manuel Moreno

Manuel Moreno, 90, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, family devotion, and cultural pride. He was born on January 5, 1935, in Santiago, Cuba, to Manuel Moreno and Amelia Moreno Vera.

On June 7, 1962, Manuel married the love of his life, Addy Moreno Castillo, in Santiago, Cuba.

Manuel was an entrepreneur at heart. Throughout his life, he worked as a business owner, real estate investor, and taxi driver.

He was deeply involved with the Cuban Club in New York for many years, helping to preserve Cuban culture and traditions within the community. Manuel especially enjoyed dancing and spending time at social gatherings with his wife, children, and friends.

Manuel is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and a brother.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Addy and his children Addys Karunaratne, Manny Moreno, and Aracelis Shattuck, his grandchildren Sasha Karunaratne, Sonali Karunaratne, and Alyssa Miller, and one great grandchild, Ronan Manuel Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview Florida. Burial will follow in the attached cemetery Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
