Manuel Pina

Manuel Perry Pina III best known as "Perry" son of the late Manuel Perry Pina, Jr. and Grace Annetta Pina, was born on September 24, 1964, and was called to rest on October 29, 2025. Perry was the youngest son among both his parents' children.
Perry graduated from Madison Park High School in 1983 and went on to take the HVAC curriculum plan at Northeastern University. Though Perry didn't complete his course of study there, he went on to be the master of many different trades via hands-on experience with elders with proper knowledge. Perry worked with his father after high school at Eastern Steel and Rack Company for a bit until seeking work that would expand his knowledge. Perry had begun work in roofing and was employed as an apprentice. He spent time learning and then went on to use his skills whenever he got the opportunity. He was the one everyone called if there was a problem with plumbing, electricity, carpentry, whatever, he would find a way to get to you and solve your problem. He always made himself available when someone needed him.
Perry was also a master on the basketball court. In high school he tried his hat at football and other sports, but basketball was his first and true love. Perry would spend hours at Washington Park playing ball and socializing with his close friends. They would sometimes cook out there while Perry would DJ, yes, he was amazing at that too. A close tie with his love for basketball was his love for playing music. Perry DJ'd some of the most memorable parties and would go through the finest of detail to ensure that neither rain nor snow would prevent him from gathering his family and friends into the same space to enjoy one another. Of all that Perry loved, he loved family the most and let them know as often as possible even if it meant a simple 'love you' at the end of a call.
Perry had begun to notice subtle changes in his body and brushed them off as signs of aging until the symptoms could no longer be ignored. Perry was diagnosed with Amyloidosis and passed away due to effects of this terrible auto-immune disease. A disease that attacks your organs, neurological and gastrointestinal systems at random.
He is predeceased by his older sister Carolyn "Lynnie" Pina.
Perry is survived by his children Manuel Pina Agee and Shakera Pina. Beloved brother of Keith Swindell, Daniel Swindell, Renee Pina-Hollins, younger sister Laura Pina and older half-sisters Nadine Martin and Denise Ash-Smith. He is also survived by two grandchildren Manuel Pina Agee Jr. and Ayla Tagger, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
