Manuel Simes

Manuel Ray Simes went to his heavenly home on October 28, 2025, at the age of 62. He was born on November 17, 1962, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to Fleming Fred Simes, Sr. and Christine (Phillips) Simes. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Alfredo Jr.; brothers, Baby Simes and Fleming Simes, Jr. and niece, Tisha Miller.

Manuel lived in Boswell his entire life. He was a cattle rancher and worked on several ranches. He also harvested pecans and was known as a Jack of all trades, being able to work on anything he set his mind too. Manuel was a proud member of the Choctaw Nation and was full of love and laughter. To his family, Manuel was the Watchman of the family and was also known as Luke, and he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends, and they will carry his spirit in their hearts forever.

Manuel is survived by his daughter, Monica Peters and husband, Gary of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Issac Wes Simes and spouse, Amy, Ila Nichole Peters and Eneyda Simes; great grandchild, Alejandro Lopez; sisters, Christine Marie Simes and Tina Simes; nieces and nephews, Jessica Williams, Lisa Land and spouse, Matthew, Ashley Heller and spouse, James, Jacob Miller and spouse, Shelby, Bubba Simes and spouse, Samantha, David Simes and spouse, Shelley, Cody Simes and spouse, Amelia, and Kristian "Crisco" Miller and spouse, Travis; numerous great nieces and nephews along with a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
