Manuel T. Ting

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Manuel Ting, 87, on March 7, 2025, a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and esteemed physician. Manuel's life was a testament to unwavering love, dedication, and service to others. He departed this world peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness.

Born November 3, 1937 in Fujian Province, Amoy, China, he was the son of Ting Kaim Sin and Sui Tan Tee. At 3 years of age his family migrated to the Philippines where his surviving brothers and sister still reside.

For over 50 years, Dr. Ting dedicated his life to the practice of internal medicine. He began his career as an intern in Youngstown and later established a respected private practice in Niles, Ohio. Throughout his career, he touched countless lives, providing compassionate care and dedication to his patients.

Above all else, Manuel was a loving father. He poured all of himself into ensuring his children and grandchildren thrived, showering them with boundless love and support. Manuel found immense joy in spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his children, Kim (John Michael) Hinkson, Edward (Stephanie) Ting, Robert Ting, and David Ting (Tricia Spence). His legacy as "Pappa" continues through his 10 cherished grandchildren, Alexandra (Dominic) Carusone, Jordyn Ting, Gianni and Jacen Hinkson, Skyler, Benjamin, Nehemiah, Lucas, Elijah and Rose Ting; and two adored great-grandchildren, Emery and Janey Carusone.

Beyond his dedication to his family and profession, Manuel enjoyed a variety of passions. He was an avid tennis player, a skilled gardener, and a patient fisherman. He found pleasure in the simple things: good food, family meals, the warmth of the sun, and the beauty of sunsets at the beach.

Manuel's gentle spirit, infectious smile, and dedication to his family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew him. As we grieve the loss of a great father, our hearts are filled with immense love and gratitude for the man who guided, protected and cherished us. Family will be gathering for a private celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations in his honor to the Friend's of Lover's Key, where Manny enjoyed the beauty and educational offerings at the Lover's Key Welcome and Discovery Center.
