Manuela Infante, born on April 16, 1926, in Brownsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. She was a beloved figure to many, characterized by her fun, loving, and caring nature. Manuela was known for her feisty spirit and warm heart, qualities that her family will forever remember about her.
She had a passion for spending time outdoors, and she particularly loved her geese and peacocks. Shopping was another joy in her life, and she spent many sunny days enjoying the brightness of the world around her.
She is survived by her five loving children: Augustina Luna (Miguel Luna†), Raquel Cantu (Luciano Cantu), Rosa Gracia (Guadalupe Gracia), Silvestre Infante Jr. (Isidra Infante), and Valentin Infante (Carmen Infante). Manuela was also a proud grandmother to 25 grandchildren: Magdalena Luna, Sandra Bustina, Diana Bustinza, Margarita Pena, Jose Luis Pena, Mary Lou Pena, Jessica Chapa, Nestor Infante, Jasmin Infante, Sergio Infante, Samuel Infante, Steven Infante, Samantha Infante, Matt Deimes, Noe Gonzalez, Rolanda Reyna Jr., Rogelio Reyna, Maribel Perez, Monica Gracia, Benito Infante Jr., Monica Sifuentes, Norma Salinas, Ramon Salinas, Fernando Salinas, and Ernesto Salinas. She also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Manuela was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Silvestre Infante, as well as by her children, Isabel Deimes (Mateo Deimes), Cristina Gonzalez (Jose Luis Gonzalez), Maria Reyna (Rolando Reyna), Ramon Infante, and Benito Infante (Ramona Infante).
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation, which will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The following day, Friday, September 19, 2025, there will be a second visitation from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with a chapel service at 10:00 a.m. with a burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, Texas, at 11:00 a.m.
May Manuela rest in eternal peace, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will never be forgotten.
