Manuela Jimenez, also lovingly known to her family as Nolly, a beloved mother, sister, friend, and grandmother, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family, on August 26 at the age of 95. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on March 25, 1930, Manuela brought her vibrant spirit and strong faith to everything she did throughout her life. In her early years, she made the courageous journey from Puerto Rico to New York, where she built a life rooted in love, family, and hard work. A devoted mother, Manuela raised six children with unwavering strength, compassion, and pride in their heritage. She was a guiding light to her family and provided a loving and joyful environment to all who knew her. A trailblazer in her own right, Manuela was the proud owner of two successful hair salons over the years, where she combined her entrepreneurial drive with an artist's touch. Her salons were more than a business-they were a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and friendship. Through her work, she empowered generations of women and brought beauty and confidence into countless lives. Manuela's Catholic faith was central to her life. She carried her rosary faithfully and lived each day with gratitude, grace, and devotion. Her faith sustained her through every challenge and gave her joy in every blessing. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrique, with whom she shared a lifetime of love. Manuela will be laid to rest beside him at Florida National cemetery in Bushnell, a final reunion that brings comfort to those who mourn her loss. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength in her six children; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. They will carry her memory forward with pride and affection. Her wisdom, warmth, and the sound of her voice will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
