Manuela Ruiz Perez
Friday, November 12, 1937 – Friday, April 25, 2025
Manuela Ruiz Perez, of Alamo, Georgia, passed away on April 25, 2025, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. Born on November 12, 1937, in Sinton, Texas, to the late Matide Ruiz and Monica Sauceda Ruiz, Manuela's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and faith.
Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30 at 11:00 A.M. Father John Stephen Ariko will officiate, assisted by Rev. Rudy Ortiz. Interment will be held at Alamo City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Lowes Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 29 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
Manuela is survived by her devoted children: Gilberto Perez, Jr. (Maria Teresa) of Baytown, Texas, Aurelio Perez (Juanita) of Clewiston, Florida, Elia Williams (Johnny) of Glenwood, Richard Perez of McRae, Neida Perez of Glenwood, and Nancy Perez Sosa (Valentin) of Alamo, twenty-four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Gilberto Perez and siblings, Emma Longoria, Guadalupe Salinas, Celedonia Diaz, Lucia Grimaldo, Sofia Morales, and Hortencia Ruiz.
Before retiring, Manuela spent many years as a dedicated farm worker.
She dearly loved working with her flowers and her garden. Her skilled hands were often busy with knitting, creating warm and lovingly crafted pieces for her family and friends. Outdoor activities brought her much joy, as she found peace and solace in the embrace of nature. Gospel music filled Manuela's home and heart, uplifting her spirit and reinforcing her deep faith. Her love for McDonald's coffee was well-known, a simple pleasure that she savored amidst life's complexities. Above all, Manuela's greatest love was for her family. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always putting their needs and happiness before her own.
As we bid farewell to Manuela Ruiz Perez, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. Her spirit, characterized by selflessness and devotion, will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her presence will be profoundly missed, yet her legacy of love and kindness will continue to flourish in the hearts of her beloved family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
