Marby Robert "Bobby" Penton Jr., aged 73, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at his home in
Rowley, Massachusetts. Born on June 16, 1952, in Jackson, Mississippi, Bobby was a man whose vibrant spirit and generous heart left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him.
Bobby's early years in Mississippi laid the foundation for his lifelong love of the great outdoors. His passion for hunting, fishing, and surfing defined many of the adventures of his youth. Notably adept at surfing, Bobby's unique "goofy footed" style was a source of personal pride and a testament to his individuality and zest for life.
Professionally, Bobby was a dedicated and skilled electrician, a proud member of the IBEW for over 40 years. His career took him on journeys far and wide, from the oil-rich deserts of Saudi Arabia to various corners of the United States. He thrived on the camaraderie of his fellow tradesmen and the ever-changing landscapes of his work.
Spiritual in nature, Bobby found solace and strength in the intangible, his faith a quiet compass that guided him through life's trials and triumphs. He carried this spirituality into every aspect of his life, including his love for animals, especially dogs, who were constant companions and brought him immense joy.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Marby Penton, Sr. and Katherine Penton; his sister, Glenda Barlow; and his beloved wife, Beth Pendak. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter with his wife, Gale Penton; his brother, Gerald Barlow and family; his children, Charissa Borries (Wayne Borries and family), Janee' Herring (Jeremy Powell and family), Marby Robert Penton III "Trey" (Candace Penton and family), Jared Pendak, and Keith Pendak; as well as his adored eight grandchildren, who will each carry a piece of his spirit into the future.
Bobby's life was a testament to the power of resilience, the importance of passion, and the value of a life well-lived. He navigated the world with a sense of wonder and a heart open to the beauty found in the simple moments. His laughter was infectious, his stories captivating, and his presence a comforting constant.
As the sun sets on Bobby's time with us, we are reminded of the brilliant hues that painted his life's journey-a tapestry of experiences and memories that will continue to inspire and guide us. His was a life lived fully, and though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared will endure.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Bobby Penton Jr. will be held dear in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were graced by his kindness and indomitable spirit. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we take solace in the knowledge that his legacy will live on through the lives he touched and the natural world he so deeply cherished.
