Marcus “Marc” Christopher Curran, age 62 of Duluth died unexpectedly on November 13, 2024. He was born in Duluth on January 4, 1962 to parents, Irving “Butch” Curran and Judith Curran. A life-long Duluthian, Marc graduated from Duluth East High School and worked for his family business, Lake City Towing. Later, he worked for Gateway Food, Duluth Ready Mix, Harbor City Oil, and WLSSD. He married Gwyn Radtke and together they raised two beautiful daughters on Island Lake. They had recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with a Mediterranean cruise.
Marc was an outstanding father and spent many hours supporting his daughters. He enjoyed volunteering to wax skis for the Duluth East nordic ski team. He was a volunteer with the Reservoir Riders doing trail cleanups for many years as well.
Growing up, Marc’s passion was motor sports. He raced three wheelers in the winter on Lake Superior, went offroading in his Jeep and snowmobiled all over northern Minnesota. He was always willing to lend a hand to fix broken down sleds and made sure everyone he was with had a good time.
He enjoyed water skiing, sailing, skate skiing and mountain biking where he met many of his close friends out on the trails. He also found tranquility in a hot sauna, listening to his favorite classic rock songs or pontooning around Island Lake.
Marc is preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Gordy Radtke. He is survived by his wife Gwyn; daughters, Sarah and Stephanie; siblings, Alison Hull, Sheila Hill, and Margaret Foss; In-laws, Gail (Warren) Nuechterlein, Greta (John) Martin, Heidi Kelly; nieces and nephews, Jude, Jayde, Crosby, Reid, Meredith, Jamie, Nikki, Tyler, Kristen, Alison, Aaron, Alex, Jeremy, Jennifer, Sam, Max and Leo; Aunt and Uncle, Bobby (Annette) Curran and Patty (Hal) Brunson.
