Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville ChapelMarc Milton Leachman, born on January 4, 1960, in Louisville, has departed this world peacefully on November 4, 2025, in New Albany, surrounded by his loved ones. Marc led a life characterized by resilience, creativity, and the attributes of a self-made man. He dedicated himself to various careers including that of a janitorial contractor, audio and visual engineer, Toast Master's speaker, and restaurateur, showcasing his incredible versatility and work ethic.
A proud graduate of the Class of 1978 from Westport High School, Marc possessed a personality that could light up any room. His heart was as big as Texas, reflecting a thoughtful and humorous nature that endeared him to those around him. A passionate animal lover, he dedicated much of his time to rescuing animals, embodying his compassionate spirit. In his leisure, Marc enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, and indulging in his passion for sci-fi, with a special fondness for Star Trek, which fueled his imagination and creativity.
Marc’s family will remember him not only for his diverse interests but also for the unwavering love he showed them. He is survived by his beloved spouse, Jacqui Mills, and his cherished children: Kayla Lewellyn (Chris), David (Chea) Mills, and daughter Becky Meredith. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Atlas and Aurora Russell, Kandace and Kristen, who brought abundant joy to his life. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Holli Grant, and special dog Lucy.
Marc was predeceased by his parents, Barbara and John Leachman, along with his sister, Sandra Joan Kennedy, and brother, Jeffrey Leachman. Each of these family bonds shaped his life and contributed to the wonderful person he became.
As we remember Marc, let us celebrate a life well-lived, enriched by love, laughter, and an unyielding spirit. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through the memories he created and the loved ones he leaves behind.
Visitation and memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr., Louisville, KY 40243. Visitation is scheduled for November 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service starting at 4:00 PM
