Marcella "Marcie" Colantone, age 88, of Oak Lawn Illinois, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in St Louis MO, Marcella was the heart of our family - a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, cherished grandmother and proud great-grandmother. She shared 68 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael Colantone, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her children, Michael (Allison), Mark, Dave (Pam). Daniel (Deneane) and Lisa (James) Short, her grandchildren, Paul, Amanda (Nick), Breanna (Sam), Lauren, Steven, Andrew, DJ, Madison, Piper, Molly, Sarah, Angel Christina, Macy, and Sadie, and her great-grandchild, Lincoln. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and her enduring legacy of kindness, strength, and grace. She is also survived by her siblings Mel, late Rita, Richard, Michael (Dana), Robert and Mary (Dave) and many adoring nieces, nephews and friend to many.

Marcie was known for her warm heart and giving heart, her gentle wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel so special. Marcie and Mike were proud members of St. Gerald's Parish for 55 years. She was a long time member of the Women's Club and Women of the Year. Her involvement in service was endless. Marcie was an active member of the St. Gerald's Showtime as well as a celebrating fellowship with parish members every Sunday, but her greatest joy came from being with her family.

She was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and unconditional love. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit will remain forever in the lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Lightways Hospice Care or the Alzheimer's Association.

We will miss her deeply but know that her love will guide us always.
