Marcella Ann (Hurst) Todd, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Welch) Hurst, was born February 15, 1948, in Seymour, Missouri. She passed away April 1, 2025, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. She was 77 years, 1 month, and 17 days of age.
Marcella grew up and attended school in Seymour. She was united in marriage to James Todd on November 11, 1972. Marcella was a cosmetologist for over 35 years. She was very dedicated to her job and over the years she had worked for Shampoo Shack, Cutting Edge, and retired from Renne’s Place.
Marcella loved going shopping, garage sales, and jewelry. She also enjoyed spending time camping and fishing.
Besides her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, James Todd; her daughter, Sherri Hurst; one sister, Jeanne Mincks; two brothers-in-law, Bill Mincks and Gene Easley; one grandchild, two nieces, and one nephew.
She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Cornelison and her husband, Robert, of Rogersville, Missouri, and Lana Hulsey and her husband, Tony, of Springfield, Missouri; her best friend, whom she thought of as a daughter, Renne Davidson and her husband, Jeff, of Seymour; three grandchildren, three nieces, and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
