Marci Feldhaus, 60, of East Peoria, passed away at 8:54am Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born March 7, 1965 in Peoria to Kermit and Judith Rushing Stromlund. She married her soulmate, Mark Feldhaus, on October 15, 1982 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria.
Surviving is her husband, Mark; their daughters, Molly (Andrew) Clark of Dunlap and Maggie Feldhaus (Nicholas Sampsel) of Bluffton, SC; grandchildren, Maddux, Emery, and a baby girl on the way; her dad, Kermit Stromlund; brother, Randall Stromlund (Barbara Linde); her cousins, Teresa Scherler, Michele Sullivan, and Deann Sullivan-Reed; and her extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mom; her grandparents, Sarah and Elmer Rushing and Mabel Stromlund; and an aunt, Dorothy, Graham.
Marci worked at American Speedy printing, a job she loved and was passionate about for 18 years. She decided to be a stay at home mom, and after that season, she went to work in graphic design at ICC and later earned two degrees in business administration and business management from the college, an accomplishment she was very proud of.
She became an administrative assistant for Caterpillar for the East Peoria and Mapleton teams. Over the last 17 years, she has made many lasting connections and a major impact on her Cat family. Marci loved and lived life. She was selfless, generous, the life of the party, and the ultimate hostess. From baking the best monster cookies and thumbprints to quiet evenings at home, she showed love to her family often. She was a longtime Cubs fan, enjoyed craft shows, and was a total dog person. She adopted many dogs from TAPS, and strays, over the years. Marci had a strong faith and loved her church deeply.
Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Her memorial service will be held at 10:00am Thursday, October 23, 2025 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria, Rev. Brian Pape officiating. Inurnment will be at Fondulac Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TAPS Animal Shelter.
