Marcia J. Kettwich (Ellis), 74, of Minonk, passed away at her home on Thursday, October, 23, 2025. She was born October 4, 1951 in Cuba City, Wisconsin to Marvin and Nora (Knutson) Ellis. She was raised on a dairy farm and attended a 1-room school house in Grant County, Wisconsin until 12 years old. Her family then moved to Minocqua, Wisconsin to operate a resort.
Marcia graduated from Lakeland Union High School with the class of 1969. After graduating she moved to Milwaukee to attend school, then moved to Illinois where she started her family. That's where she met her husband, John.
They enjoyed traveling, going to auctions, spending Summers in Wisconsin and especially time with family and friends. John always cared for her, especially after she couldn't do it herself. She enjoyed gardening, a variety of crafts and cooking/baking. Family was very important and being able to spend time with them on trips to Disney, Colorado and Wisconsin. She also enjoyed watching the activities of her children and grandchildren.
After moving to Illinois, she worked for Mobil Chemical as receptionist, materials transportation, sales and human resources. She then worked for United Rentals until retirement in accounts receivable/payable, sales, and national account customer sales.
She is survived by her daughters Leisha (Josh) Owens and DesaRae (Aaron) Fowler. Her sister Diane (Chuck) Benbenek and brother Terry (Cindy) Ellis. Also, her grandchildren Trenton and Carter Topolski and Breelynn and Broady Owens. Special friends Robin, Jan and Cindy were always there for her. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Ellis.
Funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date for the spreading of ashes in Northern Wisconsin. Ruestman-Harris funeral home in Minonk is assisting the family with arrangements.
