Shamokin – Marcia “Marcy” M. Reid, 62, of Shamokin, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025 at her home.
Born in Shamokin on May 8, 1963 to the late Vincent and Emma (Bixler) Bressi. She graduated from Shamokin Area High School.
Her grandsons, Lucas and Xander, were the loves of her life and she loved to spend time with them. She was a strong woman despite all of her health issues. She was a fantastic cook and loved to grow her own vegetables. Marcy loved to talk and spend time on her porch or on the phone talking with friends and loved ones. She will be missed by family, friends, and even acquaintances.
Marcy is survived by her daughter, Brittany Reid and her fiancé, Dylan Zimmerman; two grandsons, Lucas Bell, and Xander Bell; two sisters, Gaye Thomas and her husband, Jeremie of Coal Township; and Teri McCormick and her husband, Jeff of Coal Township; a sister-in-law, Mary Bressi; companion, Darryl Peifer of Coal Township; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, Marcy was preceded in death by a brother, Vince Bressi; and her late husband, James Reid.
Shamokin – Marcia “Marcy” M. Reid, 62, of Shamokin – Celebration of life will be held Friday, September 26, 2025 at 6:30 pm with Pastor Beverly Burd, officiating at Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, Lori Ann Campbell, Supervisor. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to defray funeral expenses, Farrow-Campbell Funeral & Cremation Service, 240 W Chestnut Street, Shamokin, PA, 17872.
