Sunbury- Jeffrey A. Hoover, 72, of 120 Woodland Drive, passed away November 5, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in La Porte, Indiana on January 22, 1953, to the late Dr. Ammon Hoover and Sally (Smith) Hoover.
He was a graduate of Carson Long Military High School, Philadelphia. On July 4, 1990, in Florida, Jeffrey married Margaret Johns, together they celebrated 35 years of marriage. He worked as a supervisor for Ryder Trucking Company.
Jeffrey enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He made memories with his wife and family traveling to Scotland, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Costa Rica, and Alaska. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three sons, Jeffrey Hoover Jr. of Philadelphia, William Auman and his wife Jennifer of Sunbury, and Richard Auman of Sunbury; a daughter, Melissa Green and her husband Fred Green of Philadelphia; four grandsons, Devin Hoover, Westin Green, William, Auman, and Bradyn Auman; four granddaughters, Kensie Hoover, Alyssa Fredricks and her husband Denver, Alexis Auman, and Brittney Auten and her husband Luke; two great grandson, Knox Fredricks, and Brantley Auten; three great granddaughters, Adeline Fredricks, Gabriella Fredricks, and Laycie Auten; a sister, Kathy Thomas and her husband Scott Thomas of Georgia; a mother-in-law, Melva Young of Shamokin; two sisters-in-law, Christine Gamble and her husband Vern Gamble of Selinsgrove, and Dorothy Johns of Shamokin; two brothers-in-law, Charles John and his wife Marline Johns of Dornsife, and William Pronick and his wife Patricia Pronick of Harrisburg; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents.
