Marcia Kay Pear, age 79, of Logansport, passed away April 22, 2025, at St. Vincent Heart Center of Indiana in Indianapolis.
Born August 13, 1945, in Logansport, to the late Joseph and Marjorie (Jones) Mast. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1963. On October 9, 1965, she married William “Bill” E. Pear, and he survives.
Marcia had formerly worked at Ray’s Creamery, Logan Machine, and Sycamore Drive-In, but her greatest work was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed playing Euchre and was a member of the New Waverly Community Church.
Survivors, including her husband Bill, are two daughters, Lori (Christopher) McCoy of Kendallville, IN, and Kristina (Kelly) Henry of Peru; one son, Steven (Mary) Pear of LaPorte, IN; Grandchildren, Zachary McCoy, Meghann McCoy, Nicholas (Kylee) McCoy, Ashleigh (Nathan) Harshman, Caleb (Nancy) Pear, Ryan Pear, Joshua Pear, Kayleigh (Gavin) Hook, Kassidy Henry, and Kyle Henry; Great grandchildren, Dylan Harshman, Emma Harshman, Cora Harshman, Scarlett Harshman, Sadie Harshman, and Kaden Pear.
Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sue Wilburn.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday April 25, 2025, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bert Stover officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, April 25, 2025, in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Waverly Community Church.
