Marcia Powers Obituary
She was born December 29, 1963 in Burgaw, the youngest daughter of Steve and Doris Barnhill Evanovich.
Marcia is survived by her sisters, Diana Newton (Elbert) and Nancy Jones; one brother, David Evanovich; niece Ashleigh Jones; nephew, Riley Jared Jones; and two great nieces, KB Newton and Layla Carr; one aunt, Gladys Burlson; and brother-in-law, Gerald Jones; as well as many cousins.
Marcia was a member of Maple Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking for friends, family and neighbors. She loved collecting toys for Toys for Tots and participating in Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes.
A memorial service will be at 10:00 am Monday December 29, 2025 at Harrell's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service. Reverend Mickey Cox will officiate and there will be a private family interment.
Memorial contributions can be made to LCF LifeCare Center 1414 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, NC or Samaritan's Purse operation Christmas child.

I had the pleasure of working with her while at Davis. She was kind person and a heart of gold, and I will miss her. RIP my friend until we meet again.
