Marcia S. Taylor

Marcia S. Taylor, 85, of Durham NY and Warren ME, peacefully went home on November 17, 2025, with loving family by her side. Born in Scotia, NY on July 14,1940, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Kathryn (Wiley) Bunkoff.
Marcia is survived by her loving children Michael (Tammy) Sutherland, Sherry (Roger) Halligan, Kerstin Sansone; and Stepdaughter Dianne (Mark) Polley. Six grandchildren, Joseph Sutherland, Jonathan (Hannah) Halligan, Brendon (Sierra) Halligan, Alexandra Sutherland, Chelsey (Gabe) Delano and Austin Polley. One great-granddaughter Ellis and two great-grandsons on the way.
Marcia was predeceased by her husband, Ronald F. Taylor, in 2023. They found each other later in life and for 19 years shared a special love, living in both New Hampshire and later Maine. They enjoyed spending time at the American Legion.
Over the years Marcia worked many different secretarial jobs, retiring as a legal secretary in 2003 from the NYS Attorney General's Office. In her younger years, Marcia loved paddling her canoe on Colgate Lake, hiking, gardening, feeding her wild birds and through the years enjoyed all of her dogs and cats. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dianne for the faithful love and care she extended during her last few years, as well as the staff at Breakwater Commons in Rockland, ME.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday December 13, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Community Life Church, 20 West Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414 with a 4 PM service to follow at the Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Babcock Funeral Home, 19 Pulver Avenue, Ravena, NY 12143.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Marcia can be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society.
