Marcia Lou Wheaton

Marcia L. (nee: Weatherman) Wheaton arrived in heaven on August 15, 2025, probably in a whirlwind. Marcia, in her pre-cancer days, was not known to ever sit around and did not know the word relax. She was always doing something.

Marica was born on January 30, 1940, to Walter Byron and Gwendolyn Irvina (Boltz) Weatherman in Clayton, Michigan. Marcia married the love of her life, Marion Wheaton, on July 27, 1957. They lived in Manitou Beach for many years. Marcia was the Woodstock Township Election Supervisor and also served on the Addison Hospital Board. Marion and Marcia moved to their beloved Lake Arrowhead cottage in 1979. Shortly after their permanent move to Lake Arrowhead, Marcia entered the world of real estate. She eventually became the broker/owner of Century 21 Wheaton Realty and ended her career with Berkshire Hathaway in 2022. She also loved to cook and to feed anyone who came to her door. We will all miss her cooking, which includes her Thanksgiving pies.

Marcia leaves behind her daughter, Connie (Dave) Stubli, son Tim (Nikki) Wheaton, grandchildren Kyle, Dana, Ashley, Annette, Rachel, and Devin; great-grandchildren Elizabeth (Biz), Bradley, and Jaxon; her sister Joan Redlin from Colorado, and her sister- in- law Geri Heeman from Tecumseh.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marion, her sisters Freda Kane and Joyce Pletcher, and her niece Lisa Miller.

Marcia's funeral will be held at the Nelsons Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 12 Noon. Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Derek Hagland. Internment will follow at the Hayes Township Cemetery. Assisting at the graveside will be pallbearers Tim Wheaton, Dave Stubli, Kyle Stubli, Devin Campbell, Randy Burroughs, and Greg Smith. Immediately following, a luncheon will be served at the Pavilion in Lake Arrowhead.
