Brownville Junction – Marco S. Zambrano, 88, husband of the late Rosalind (Santer) Zambrano, passed away peacefully December 24, 2024, surrounded by family at Northern Light Mayo Hospital, Dover-Foxcroft. He was born February 21, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Mary (Tropio) Zambrano. Marco was very proud to have served with the U.S. Navy and retiring after a 20 year career as a machinist. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Westerns, and playing cribbage.
Marco is survived by his son, Anthony Zambrano and his wife, Rachel; two daughters, Christine DeYoung and her husband, Gene, and Patricia Pottle and her husband, Kevin; two grandchildren, Sadie and Noah Zambrano; step-son, Robert Bruhy and his wife, Sue; step-daughter, Rhonda Kliner and her husband, Gary; sister, Ann (Zambrano) DiGuglielmo; and several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his wife, Rosalind, he was predeceased by his step-daughter, Carol Ross; sister, Josephine Leone; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Zambrano.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held in the spring at the family lot in the PineTree Cemetery in Brownville Junction. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christmas for Kids Fund, c/o Maine Savings FCU, P.O. Box 447, Milo, ME 04463. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home.
