Marcos Obdulio Maldonado

Benson, NC: Mr. Marcos Obdulio Maldonado, age 77, of Stephenson Road passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Thursday, January 18, 2024. 

Mr. Maldonado was born on September 5, 1946 in San Juancito, Honduras to the late Roberto Alemán Ponce and Rosa Maldonado. The family later moved to Nicaragua where he was raised until moving to the United States. Prior to retirement, he worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing. He was tough but caring, had a great sense of humor, was smart and could teach himself anything including speaking nine languages. He loved to travel, spend time with his family, and was a great provider for his family. He loved music, especially Elvis Presley. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. 

Surviving include his wife of 53 years, Rosario Maldonado; children, Tamara Maldonado, Vanessa Maldonado-Jones, Karina Rivas, Marvin Rivas, Raquel Rosell, Marcos Maldonado, Roberto Maldonado, and Erica Maldonado; grandchildren, Katherine Janneth Alemán Vega, Marcos Yitzhak Alemán Vega, Dennis Andres Alemán Vega; Thalia Maldonado-Jackson, Joshua Evans Maldonado, Tatyana Evans Maldonado, Jalen Maldonado, Isayana Stancil, and Nathalie Snyder; great grandchildren, Carson Stancil and Canice Gorman; sister, Leticia Maldonado; and brother; Jorge Maldonado.
