Marcus P. Merwin

1946 - 2026

Marcus P. "Pat" Merwin, 79, of Export, passed away on March 3, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 14, 1946, in Swissvale, a son of the late Robert "Whitey" and Balinda (Kane) Merwin. Pat grew up in Swissvale and was a University of Pittsburgh graduate. He was a proud and decorated United States Marine veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, "Semper Fi." Pat went on to work for the United States Postal Service, where he retired after 35 years of service. Surviving him is his loving family: beloved wife of 58 years, Shelia (Delahanty) Merwin; loving son, Jason Merwin; and cherished grandson, Shane Merwin. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by two sons, Sean and Joshua Merwin. Respecting Pat's wishes, visitation and services will be private.
