Marcus P. "Pat" Merwin

Marcus P. "Pat" Merwin, age 79 of Export, passed away on March 3, 2026 at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born May 14, 1946 in Swissvale, a son of the late Robert "Whitey" and Balinda (Kane) Merwin. Pat grew up in Swissvale and was a University of Pittsburgh graduate. He was a proud and decorated United States Marine veteran, having served in the Vietnam War, "Semper Fi". Pat went on to work for the United States Postal Service where he retired after 35 years of service. Surviving is his loving family, beloved wife of 58 years; Shelia (Delahanty) Merwin; loving son, Jason Merwin and cherished grandson, Shane Merwin. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by 2 sons, Sean and Joshua Merwin. Respecting Pat's his wishes; visitation and services will be private. The family suggest memorial contributions in Mr. Merwin's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516.
