Marcus was married to Verna Mae Neuhaus for 28 years. The love of his life. He retired after working 40 years from Holly Sugar plant in California.
He is survived by his wife and children Eric Melton and Judy Coots, with their spouses Svetlana and Ed, respectively. His grandchildren include Shayla and Tanner Coots, and Alex and Tony Melton. He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Ami Hollingshead, Bryleigh Hamilton, Jaxson Beal, Tyson Hollingshead, Lilly Hollingshead, Charlotte, Evelyn and Gwen Coots, Evan, Dylan Lucas, and Fin Melton.
Marcus was preceded in death by his brothers Conrad, Norris, and Charles.
Marcus had a passion for fishing and enjoyed many Deep Sea Fishing trips with friends in California. He also loved to garden and could often be found in the kitchen baking desserts from scratch or canning homemade jam. A man of faith, he was part of an extended church family from California and later Kansas. Most of all was how much unconditional love he showed his family and most of all his wife! He will be missed dearly.
