Marcus Allen Pilewicz, 49, passed away on August 28, 2024, in West Haven, Utah. He was born on December 10, 1974, in Ogden, Utah. He spent most of his adolescence in Roy, UT where he formed countless lifelong friendships. Marcus was a beloved figure in his community and a cherished presence within his family. Marcus is survived by his devoted wife, Mindy Pilewicz; sons, Marcus Gorman and Lincoln Pilewicz; his loving mother, Thelma Loock; and sisters, Brandi Roundy, Danyel (Dave) Barta, and Michelle (Nate) Bell, and grandmother Geri Loock. He also leaves behind two cherished mothers-in-law, several brother and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Loock; father-in-laws, Robert Gaut and Terrance Rassier; grandparents, Max Loock, Earl and Norma Johnson; nephew, Bear Bell; and many of his best friends, including Sonny Davidson and Justin Logan. Marcus had a passion for life that was evident in his hobbies. He was an avid sports fan and dedicated member of the Raider Nation. From his teenage years through recent he could be found officiating games across the state. He was able to share this passion with both his father and oldest son, which were some of his most treasured memories. Additionally, Marcus took great pride in his growing shoe collection, a hobby that brought him much joy and allowed him to express his unique style.
A Celebration of Life, beginning with a short service, will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room at the Lindquist Office Building, 3434 Washington Blvd.
Marcus's life was one of vibrant engagement with the people and activities he loved. His legacy will continue to live on through the memories he created with those around him.
