Marcus Schwartz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home on Feb. 23, 2026.
Marcus Schwartz passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at the age of 91.

Born in Philadelphia, Marcus lived a life defined by dedication-to his family, his country, and his work. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Army. After his military service, Marcus built a distinguished career supporting the United States Navy, where he contributed his expertise as an aerospace engineer designing ejection seats for fighter jets. A graduate of Drexel University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, he took immense pride in the technical precision and responsibility his work needed.

Marcus is survived by his daughter, Rachel Smith (spouse Stephen), and his sons, Cody (spouse Lynn), Matthew (spouse Donna) and Dan. He was a devoted grandfather to twelve grandchildren, Toni, Courtney, Brittany, Kaylee, Joseph, Maria, Kelsi-Jo, Colby, Alyssa, Katelyn, Maddie and David. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Finn, Stella, and Trey.

Marcus shared a loving marriage with his wife, Patricia, who preceded him in death several years ago. Their story began in Page, Arizona, where they met while Marcus was working on the Glen Canyon Dam. He fondly remembered their time in Arizona and enjoyed many return visits over the years.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Marcus found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of classic westerns and could happily spend hours watching them. Known for his sharp mind and quiet determination, he relished the challenge of solving even the most difficult crossword puzzles.

Marcus will be remembered for his steady strength, intellectual curiosity, deep love for his family, and the meaningful contributions he made both at home and in service to his country.

Services will be held at Decker Funeral Home in Warminster Friday, February 27, 2026, at 10 am, with a luncheon following.
