Marcus Shields Obituary
Marcus died Wednesday, December 17, 2025 in Rapid City. Native American Church funeral services will be 10 AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial is in the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Wake services began Wednesday at the White Swan Community Center.

Marcus was the older brother of my two oldest kids' father Kevin Shields Sr. He was the uncle to Sioux Dawn Picotte and Kevin Leif Shields Jr. Marcus was always smiling and happy and trying to get other people to do the same. He was loyal and he wanted the best for people he stayed with us back in 98 up to his brother Kevin's untimely death by Suicide. I believe and I know he had a good heart he had good intentions he probably didn't have the best childhood but he made the best of his adulthood he was a very kind soul. I'll think about him and he's with his two sisters Melody and Stephanie Shields and also his little brother Kevin Shields Sr. May you all rest in peace it's a very sad situation but God has his angels picked out from day one and our time is his when he wants us he'll come and get us. I'll see you again one day until then reunite be thankful that God chose you my mom is also there now and I just can't wait for the day when I get to see everyone again. Rest easy.
