Margaret Armstrong Obituary
Margaret Anne Thompson Armstrong was born on March 16, 1940 in the Cerro Gordo Community of Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Harry Edward and Dora Irene Brown Thompson.
Margaret was a free spirit and loved being near the Tennessee River. She enjoyed traveling, camping, shopping, and playing dominoes. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, "Sassy". Margaret also adored her late partner, Herbert Brown.
Margaret Anne Thompson Armstrong departed this life on February 21, 2025 in Southaven, Mississippi, at the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 5 days.
She is survived by her daughter, Misti Armstrong (Brian Clasen); grandchildren, Joey Armstrong, Brian Clasen, Jr., Emily Clasen, Lizzie Flagg, Brent Odum, Cody Armstrong, and Marcie Armstrong (Chastain); and great grandchildren, Alexandria, Levi, Nora, and Billie.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her son, Mark Duane Armstrong; sisters, Mary McKenzie and Corene Beard; brothers, Robert Franklin Thompson and Eddie Milam; and an infant brother.
