Leon Baugus Obituary
On December 21, 1968, he was united in marriage to Betty Stricklin, who survives.
Leon worked as a foreman for the Hardin County Highway Department. He enjoyed cattle farming and spending time with his family. He loved his great granddaughter, Ellie Faith, and was looking forward to meeting his great grandson, Oliver. Mr. Baugus was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
Leon Baugus departed this life on September 7, 2025 in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 80 years, 11 months, and 10 days.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Baugus; son, Donald Baugus and his wife Tammy; grandson, Brandon Baugus and his wife AnnaMarie; great granddaughter, Ellie Faith Baugus; and great grandson on the way, Oliver Baugus.
In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his brothers, Melvin Baugus, Mervin Baugus, and Marcell Baugus and sister, Mary Thelda Norton.
