Margaret leaves behind a loving family that includes her children, Phillip Babischkin and Rene’ (Mike) McElroy; her grandchildren, Ashley (Stephen) Payne, Tyler (Jessica) Babischkin, Katie (Holton) Johnson, Emma McElroy, Michael McElroy, and Carrissa Babischkin; her great grandchildren, Stephen Payne, Max Payne and Annessa Johnson; her cousins, Terri Fournier, Joanna Letort, Gina Weaver, Robin Fayard and Amy Lechner; and her nieces and nephews, Peter (Beverly) Lee, Shelby Lee, Marcy Babischkin, Gina Spencer, Francey Babischkin, Sean Babischkin, Mark Babischkin, Jeffrey Babischkin and Amie Babischkin.
Margaret was born in Biloxi and made her home in Ocean Springs for many years. She devoted much of her life to helping others, both through her work as a beloved teacher’s aide at Magnolia Park Elementary School and through her countless acts of kindness. Margaret had a gift for making people feel special. She often sent handwritten letters and cards just because, they were her “happies.”
Family was at the center of Margaret’s life. She cherished attending her grandchildren’s events and took great delight in spoiling them whenever she could. She loved dancing with her husband and shared a deep and abiding faith as a devoted parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church.
Margaret also found joy and friendship as an active member of the French Club – Fleur de Lis Society and the Golden Age Club.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love, prayers, and support during this time.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, West Jackson County, is honored to serve the family. An online guestbook may be signed and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com
