Margaret Ann Babitzke, 89, of Fort Smith, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was born on February 20, 1934 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Frank and Clara Gerber Klein. Margaret was a retired Registered nurse for St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by three sisters, Viola Blaty, Mildred Castner, Patricia Wahl along with two brothers, Robert Klein and Sonny Klein.
She is survived by three daughters, Carla Walker (Wade) and Michelle Kuykendall, both of Fort Smith and Karen Babitzke of Houston, Texas; four sons, Mark Babitzke of Van Buren, Chris Babitzke of Friendswood, Texas, Kelly Babitzke and Danny Babitzke, both of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Albert Babitzke, Christopher Babitzke, Joseph Babitzke, Maile Nuckles, Macy Nuckles, Christina Pianalto and Drew Kuykendall, along with three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, May 19, 2023 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, Funeral Mass will be 1:00 pm Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
