Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" Bell died peacefully on October 7th, 2025, surrounded by family.

Born in Washington D.C on March 21st, 1939, Peggy was the second oldest of 8 children. After graduating from Notre Dame Academy in 1957, Peggy worked for the U.S. Department of Justice and Georgetown Law School before becoming an Eastern Airlines stewardess. While vacationing in Honolulu, she met a handsome young Pan American pilot named John Bell. They married in Miami, FL on July 18th, 1964, and soon relocated to West Berlin. They soon welcomed a daughter, Cami, and son, Jeff two years after his sister. Over the years, the Bells lived in West Berlin, Novato, CA and eventually Sonoma, CA where they were longtime members of Trinity Episcopal Church in Sonoma.

Peggy was active in her church communities and generously gave her time to various organizations including Hospice of Marin and the American Cancer Society.

A talented cook and baker, Peggy was known for her warmth, hospitality and creativity in the kitchen. She loved travel, traced her Irish roots abroad and later in life even pursued flying lessons. Above all, she cherished her family and took great pride in her children and grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, John Bell, who passed away in August, as well as by her parents, sister, and brothers. Peggy is survived by her daughter Cami, son-in-law Chris Pinsak of Camarillo, CA, granddaughters Lauryn of San Francisco, Samantha of Mill Valley, CA, son Jeff, daughter-in-law Kathy Hash, and their children Cameron, Caitlyn, and Chance of Fairfax Station, VA.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Peggy's devoted caregivers from One Heart and the compassionate team from Los Robles Hospice for their exceptional care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to either The Parkinson's Foundation or The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in Peggy's name. Links to both organizations are below for your convenience.

A memorial service honoring Peggy's life will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Sonoma, California at a date yet to be determined.
