Margaret “Marky” Berger, age 83, of Dover, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, in her home.
Born July 3, 1942, in Baer Town, Ohio, Marky was a daughter of the late William B. and Helen (Humbaugh) Feutz. On July 31, 1965, she married David Berger. Together they enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage before his passing on July 17, 2015.
Marky was a graduate of Dover High School. She continued her education at Aultman School of nursing and began a career of over 40 years as a nurse for Aultman Hospital. In her free time, she enjoyed time with family, reading and going to many social lunch gatherings.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Lori (Craig) Perry of Findlay, Melissa (Patrick) Hoch of Canton and Karen (Michael) Stutzman of Dover; grandchildren, Mitchel (Karlie) Perry, Sierra (Colton) Tom, Reid (Jami) Perry, Julia (Colton) Bunner, Kyler (Lib) Frye, Kinsie Risher and Chera Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Asher and Beau; sisters, Joanne Monnin and Doris Eby; brother-in-law, Gary Berger; sister-in-law, Cheryl Murray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marky was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will greet guests on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in Geib Funeral Center at Dover. A service honoring Marky’s life will be led by Rev. Dr. Cassandra Granados beginning at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. A private graveside will be held at a later date in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg.
Memorial donations in Marky’s name can be made to the First Baptist Church Widow’s Ministry, 878 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
