Margaret Louise "Peg" Brown

Margaret Louise "Peg" (Keefer) Brown, 88, of Irwin, formerly of Mount Pleasant, passed away on November 3, 2025. She was born January 7, 1937 in Mount Pleasant, a daughter of the late Elgie Elroy and Mildred Ann (Albert) Keefer, and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Ray "Pete" Brown; sisters and brothers Mary Gayle Jordan, Hazel (Wendel) Christner, and Charles (Dolores) Keefer; sister in law Adesta Keefer; and dear friend Richard Meneghini. Peg was a 55 year member of Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, having served as a Sunday school teacher, in the women's group and as a council member. Prior to her retirement she worked as an office administrator. Peg was guided by her faith and devoted to her family. These were the important things in her life. She is survived by her children Susan (Matthew) Harris of Manor and Jennifer (Kenneth) Fox of Irwin; grandchildren Grant (Auriel) Fox, Hayden (Taylor) Fox, Mason (Claire) Fox, Laura Fox (Case Haberstroh); and great granddaughter Rose Fox; her brothers David (Barb) Keefer of Mount Pleasant and James (Shirley) Keefer of Pennsville; sister and brother in law Sally and Ed Wagner; many nieces and nephews; and dear friends Teena and Russ Perry, and Janine Meghini. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church, those attending please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
