Margaret "Peg" A. DiAngelo, 76, of Somerdale, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, New Jersey. Born on November 23, 1948, in Rome, New York, to the late Francis and Stella Ryan. She was raised in Collingswood, New Jersey. Margaret's life was a testament to the the joy of family, power of education and the beauty of simple pleasures.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hal DiAngelo, and her sister, Pam Ryan. Her legacy continues through her children, Danielle DiAngelo, David DiAngelo, and Deborah Slowik (Rich), her adored and adoring grandchildren, Taylor and Bodhi Slowik, her brother, Frank Ryan, and her sisters, Pat Tannock, Coleen Adezio, and Colette Telaar. Margaret's spirit is also celebrated by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will miss her dearly.
Margaret's passion for education was evident in her commitment to her students. After receiving her bachelor's degree in education from Glassboro State Teachers College, she dedicated 30+ years to teaching. She finished her last 15 years at Magnolia Elementary School. Her nurturing heart led her to extend her teaching talents to homeschooling terminally ill and behaviorally challenged children, ensuring that every child in her care received the gift of knowledge and attention they deserved.
She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cherishing moments spent with her children and grandchildren above all. The shore was a place of serenity and happiness for Margaret, where she could be found basking in the sun, reading a good book, or simply enjoying the company of her loved ones. Her love for the arts was evident in her frequent visits to the theater, where she reveled in the stories and performances that unfolded on stage.
A loving mother, a thoughtful friend, and a kind soul, Margaret's presence was a comfort to all who knew her. Her ability to listen, her willingness to help, and her constant encouragement were the hallmarks of her character.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt 73 South and Evesham Rd,
Marlton, NJ 08053. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm, at the funeral home.
