Margaret Hancock Endsley
Our Mamaw was greeted with open arms by her Lord and Savior and our Papaw, her forever love, in Heaven on Thursday, November 20, 2025. What a beautiful moment it must have been, and we rejoice knowing her heart and body are at peace and full once again.
Margaret Hancock Endsley was born on March 19, 1938, to Charles Wesley and Madano Hancock and welcomed by her older brother Royce. She was a graduate of Queen City High School. She loved to cook, and her family and friends loved being able to enjoy the many meals she lovingly served around her kitchen table. She was an avid reader, excellent at quilting, had seen every episode of Little House on the Prairie, could shell peas and snap beans faster than anyone in Cass County, had the most beautiful handwriting, knew every hymn in the hymnal at the "Y" by heart, made the beds in her home each morning to perfection (and you'd better not mess them up), and loved her Lord and Savior and family fiercely.
On December 19th, 1956, she married her soulmate and best friend, Harold Endsley. Together they raised three sons, welcomed three daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren whom she adored spending as much time with as possible. They were married for 67 years. They loved each other and the family they built second only to their love for Jesus.
Margaret retired from Atlanta ISD after being the cafeteria manager at Atlanta Primary School for 25 years. She often spoke of how she would do any and everything to make sure there was never a hungry child at APS. Taking care of the children in her community, in this way, was deeply important to her.
Our Momma/Mamaw was a quiet person who kept to herself unless Papaw was purposely agitating her while she cooked – which she enjoyed as much as he did. While she was a shy, reserved person, her faith and love for Jesus was loud. She was a member of Bethsaida "Y" Baptist Church her entire adult life. But she recently had moved to the Atlanta Church of God.
Preceding her in death – her parents, husband, Harold and brother Royce.
Left to honor her legacy and love are her three sons and their wives, Charles(Sandra), Dale(Diane), and Darrell(Shannon), grandchildren, Lance(Tonia), Katherine(Jason), Heath, Melissa(Josh), Kali(Clayton), Zach(Katie), Jonathan(Deche´), Maegan(Brandon), Kodie(Michael), great-grandchildren, Zac, Croy, Wyatt, Luke, Oliver, William, Andrew, Sarah, Maeleigh, Hadlee, Grady, Ryker, Kyzer, Luke, Tucker, Koreigh, Kaiden, Kaitlynn, Londyn, Easton, Beckett; and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 22, 2025, in the Hanner Funeral Chapel with Bro. Chris Miller officiating.
Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
