Margaret Failing went home to be with the Lord June 6, 2025.

She was a great storyteller, friend, sister, mother and witness of the gospels. She was a giver to all and opened her home to many downtrodden people over the years. Her many years of experience in the line of horse and equipment began at 19 with her mail order business, The Tack Room. Margaret was a legal secretary for the Justice of the Peace from 1959 to 1960. She worked at Little Dude's Western Wear when she moved to Florida in 1963. Her expertise in saddlery resulted in JC PENNY requesting her to open a saddlery department in their stores in earlier years. Her many ventures have included a hay broker and horse trader. She transported horses from Georgia to Canada and California. She was a semi driver for Florida Rock and Sand and Amoco Oil.

During a surgery in Chicago, she saw the opportunity in a horse drawn business and her and her sister, Harriet Hager started Horse and Buggy daze in 1980. Like all of us they had their struggles in life but called on the Lord for guidance and support. Margaret was the third daughter of Harry and Alena Mullins in Danville, West Virginia in 1939. One of her favorite stories to tell was of her birth and how the doctor came to the house to deliver what was a surprise of twin girls and named her Margaret. If not for the doctor, their names would have been Murtis and Gurtis and she was very grateful to the doctor for being there.

We celebrate her home going.
