Margaret "Faye" Loree, 88, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, surrounded by loving family. Born on August 26, 1937, in Townsley, Missouri to Jewel Carr Rice and JR Rice. Faye dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home for her husband of 43 years, Howard, and their three children.
Faye’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her southern cooking was legendary, a true labor of love for family and friends. She was known for sharing her gift of cooking in service at the East Peoria Church of Christ where she was an active member for nearly 60 years.
She is survived by her children Danny (Lori) Loree, Kimberly (Joseph) Japuntich, and David (Tina) Loree, nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Deloris (Dan) Dahlgren, Kathyrn Shepard and Janice Lankford.
Per Faye’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
