Margaret Ann Fields passed away peacefully at the age of 87. She was born on March 23, 1938 in Syracuse, NY and died on August 9, 2025 in Ithaca, NY.

Margaret was employed by Cornell University for 40 years as the Head Pastry Chef and she also enjoyed cooking, gardening and growing flowers.

Margaret is the daughter of the late Israel (Spike) and Hazel Reed Fields and is also predeceased by her 5 siblings: Roy Fields, Floyd (Lois) Fields, Elwyn (Marlene) Fields, Richard (Sandra) Fields, and Donald (Judy) Fields. She is survived by her siblings: Ella (James) Crockett, Helen Race and Henry (Kathy) Fields.

Margaret was very family oriented. Although she never married and had no children of her own, she treated all her numerous nieces and nephews as her own. Margaret would go out of her way to help any family member, and she cared for her father and mother and uncle until they passed away.

A special thank you to Don and Mel Reed for their loving care of Margaret.
